av98m SG what you need to do, is to ask your friends or your friends' friends who are teaching. they will give you the full picture. I'm not saying teaching is a bad idea for a career(far from it), but that you need to know what you're getting yourself into. like any other job, if you decide to have kids, and spend time with your kids, you will have to accept some sacrifices to your prospects for advancement. the Bear SG btw, if you end up caring for your job as a teacher, you will be working almost every waking minute of the working day and most of your weekend... the "holidays" will be spent "on course" (which are useless) or being dragged back to the school to do pointless ECAs... you will find that cream does not rise to the top.. scum does that faster and will end up being so thick that it'll spoil the cream.. you can see the evidence in schools.. where they are not interested in children but they are more interested in getting awards like People De-eloper, SQA and all the other pointless awards... instead of educating the children... but if you are a heartless mercenary who do not care about children and are not beneath using them to climb up the ranks, you'll do well in MOE

To put it bluntly, his English sucks - and it doesn't help that his teacher makes the exact same grammatical mistakes that he does in her so-called 'model answers'. And don't get me started with his Science teacher. Among others, here's what she taught them: 1. The SI unit for density is g/cm3. 2. The density of water is 0.1 g/cm3. 3. There are 0.0008 neutrons in an atom of hydrogen. 4. The units to be used in a pair of vernier calipers is the meter. In short, if the vernier caliper reading is '4.19', the measurement is 4.19 meters.
